Job description

Pharmaron is looking for you to join us as an experienced Bioanalytical Scientist to join our team in Boston ! This is an onsite position and reports to the DMPK Lead Scientist.

What you will do:

The functions of this Scientist position will include bioanalytical/analytical LC-MS sample analysis, LC-MS method development and validation, study design and execution, and data analysis with critical thinking. The Scientist will play a role in the design and qualification/ validation of study methodologies to support in vivo studies while supervising a team of up to 2 scientists.

• Designing studies that meet sponsors' needs or internal needs in a scientifically sound manner.
• Implementing SOPs that govern the utilization of mass spectrometers for sample analysis.
• Executing LC-MS studies that follow developmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Author and execute study protocols governing bioanalytical studies to support in vivo studies and sample analysis.
• Take an active role in solving problems and trouble-shooting studies.
• Routine maintenance for the mass-spec instruments and liaising with the metrology team and vendors for trouble shooting.
• Analyzing and reporting study data.
• Peer review of data and reports.
• Interacting with different teams daily including other scientists, management, vendors,
• and sales/marketing team.
• Interacting with study sponsors.
• Mentoring and organizing the work schedules of up to 2 scientists.
• Perform all other related duties as

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences or a related analytical field
• Masters in related field preferred.
• 2+ years of Development or GLP bioanalytical testing experience.
• 2+ years of Mass spectrometry (LCMS-MS) experience required.
• Position requires strong professional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to adapt in a dynamic team environment are keys for success.
