Description

Join a high-performing Agile DevSecOps team using a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies to help shape the software development strategy for the organization by developing tools, techniques, and processes for our team as well as other DevSecOps teams at SAIC. Our work typically focuses on the automation of DevSecOps toolchains, application development, and the general improvement of software quality through automation as well as the application of Agile and DevSecOps best practices. We develop tools for the rest of the organization to use, and work with other teams to integrate DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines into their projects. We execute our work using Scrum with 2-week sprints, focusing on team consensus and sustainable pacing. Each member of our team has the autonomy to use the tools and techniques that make the most sense for them and their work, has flexible working arrangements including remote work, and uses collaboration tools such as Slack for chat and Zoom for videoconferencing to work with the rest of the team. We often Zoom for paired programming, code reviews, and shoulder surfing. We each have the opportunity to learn new things, bring the best of our experience and knowledge to the team, and make our voices heard as a respected member of a high performing team.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a US Citizen with a Secret clearance.
• Bachelors and 14 or more years of related experience.
• Proven background working in cloud environments with experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
  • Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira, Confluence.
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory).
  • Cloud Service Providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Containerization and container management with Docker.
  • Security automation with tools such as Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation development and integration.
  • Python, Bash, YAML, JSON.
  • Git, branching strategies, GitLab Flow, GitFlow, and/or GitHub Flow.
  • Cloud high availability and scalability best practices and architectures.
