As a Clinical Nurse Supervisor (
full time, days ) at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, you will serve as an expert in the field of vascular access, particularly in insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) and midlines. You will also assist in education, consultation, and data collection.

What You'll Need: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN required, three years' experience as an RN. Experience inserting PICCs and Midlines preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification to be obtained after 2 years of job experience.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Inserts PICCs and Midlines at bedside using Vascular Positioning System (VPS).
- Provides expertise and serves as a resource specialist for the assessment, insertion, routine care, and education regarding vascular access devices with a focus on central lines, PICCs, and midlines.
- Communicates with Multidisciplinary Team regarding patient care.
- Prioritizes and performs procedures, keeping tech worklist updated.
- Provides education for patients, family, and staff.
- Maintains policies and procedures, data, and records.
- Orders appropriate supplies.
- Cleans equipment and documents appropriately.
- Adheres to general hospital standards to provide a cooperative work environment through effective communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
- Seeks opportunities for education to increase knowledge and skills.
