JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Residential Sales Account Executives is responsible for developing and managing the sales performance for an engagement focused sales team proficient in offering best-in-class Residential high-speed internet, advanced TV and Streaming, Mobile, and Voice services through door-to-door solicitation, relationship building, and community events. The sales team will consist of Supervisors and Account Executives who are assigned sales portfolios including single-family residential homes, existing customers, and new construction in an appointed residential area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides leadership and vision to develop a strong sales culture within your team for high performance and outstanding sales results while providing excellent customer experiences.
- Ensures the competency and continuity of a qualified Residential Sales Team is achieved through optimum hiring selections, effective training, motivation, coaching, development, and performance recognition.
- Identifies and implements improvements to ensure performance standards are met and, if not, takes immediate action to improve performance level.
- Manages employee performance; counsels and advises to ensure compatibility, maximum effectiveness, and continued growth on a constant basis. Addresses personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with Company policy.
- Track and analyze daily activity reports to ensure productivity and contribute to the development of processes to improve efficiency.
- Recommend and implement processes and procedures to increase product penetration through sales to single-family residential homes, existing customers, and new construction in an assigned residential area.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted headcount and sales goals.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives in a fast- paced environment.
- Deliver presentations on team performance achievement to multiple levels of management
- Maintains excellent knowledge of Spectrum’s products / services, pricing practices and selling skills
- Maintains current, in-depth knowledge of marketplace, including competition, and ensures relationships with customers, business partners, and co-workers are positive and professional.
- Responsible to manage and maintain the sales portfolios of assigned team and communicate assignments and/or adjustments.
- Monitor the payroll process and ensure timely and accurate approval of all commission payments.
- Complete administrative tasks related to all sales activities and ensures their team does the same.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
- Engaging interpersonal skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
- Consultative sales experience with a focus on providing solutions
- Proven networking, negotiation, and closing skills required
- Attention to detail and ability to clearly document interactions.
- Ability to listen, assess, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate direction.
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and/or during inclement weather.
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices).
- Possess strong technical and computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate over the phone, email and WebEx
- A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle.
Required Education
- Bachelor´s degree in business or marketing, or equivalent work experience.
- Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
- 3+ Years Outside Sales Leader or related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Experience leading a team of 40+ Supervisors/frontline sales agents selling data, voice and/or video solutions in the telecommunications industry, with an emphasis on data networking fundamentals and ability to educate consumers on related products and services as needed.
Preferred Education
- Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of Years
- 5+ years success in a previous Sales Leader position.
- Experience leading a frontline team of agents who conduct prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred, but not required.
- Preferable experience in selling data, voice and/or video solutions in the telecommunications industry
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Field and office environment: approximately 30% field work and 70% office work.
- Outside field environment with exposure to inclement weather.
- Office environment: exposure to moderate noise levels.
