Specific Roles and Responsibilities for the FDA Senior Software Engineer position include but are not limited to:

• Develop, implement, and maintain web applications using Java, Angular, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
• Utilize Broadcom API Gateway Layer 7 version 11 for policy management, service development, and implementation.
• Design and implement policies within Broadcom API Gateway to enforce security and access controls.
• Implement OAuth for API authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Integrate and manage Web Services (SOAP / Rest) within the API Gateway infrastructure.
• Apply IAM domain knowledge to ensure proper user authentication and access management.
• Utilize IDM APIs within Broadcom API Gateway for seamless integration with identity management systems.
• Implement and maintain API infrastructure on the AWS Cloud platform.
• Design and implement Zero Trust principles within the API Gateway architecture to enhance security posture.
• Utilize API Management tools for monitoring, analytics, and lifecycle management of APIs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate technologies and design patterns, overseeing their implementation from concept to working product.
• Embrace a fast-paced work environment with deadlines and new challenges.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Utilize open-source platforms, tools, databases, front-end frameworks, and middleware to modernize enterprise applications by re-developing legacy systems.
• Analyze problems such as user requirements, input data and form, output data and form, available computer configuration, processing and turnaround time requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge in the development of client/server and internet applications that utilize a n-tier architecture and graphical user interface.
• Provide deployment support by deploying code, static files, and/or databases by request to the staging environment and syncing static files and databases among environments.

The Senior Software Developer will have the following qualifications: 

• 5+ years of experience in open-source web development
• Programming ( Java, Angular, TypeScript, React, or Angular )
• Databases (Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases)
• Hands-on experience with Broadcom API Gateway Layer 7 version 11.
• Proficiency in AWS Cloud services and AWS Services.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks.
• Proficiency with AWS & AWS Services is required for this role
• Proficiency in working with automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience in Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development frameworks.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git/Github
• Ready to embrace a fast-paced work environment with deadlines and new challenges.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or other related field. Employer will accept a suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Clearance: FDA Public Trust clearance must be obtainable

Location: Hybrid - locals to DMV area highly preferred.
