Job description

Vaco has partnered with a fast growing investment company who is searching for an AP Specialist to join their team. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented International Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in managing multiple entities and international transactions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international financial regulations. Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. International Invoice Processing:

   • Efficiently process vendor invoices and expense reports for international entities.
   • Verify compliance with local tax regulations and currency considerations.

2. Multi-Entity Experience:

   • Manage accounts payable functions for multiple business entities, both domestic and international.
   • Ensure accurate allocation of expenses and adherence to entity-specific financial requirements.

3. Vendor Relations:

   • Communicate with international vendors to resolve discrepancies, address inquiries, and ensure timely payments.
   • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key international vendors.

4. Sage Intacct Expertise:

   • Utilize proficiency in Sage Intacct software to streamline accounts payable processes.
   • Leverage software capabilities for accurate reporting and analysis.

5. Expense Reconciliation:

   • Reconcile vendor statements, addressing any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
   • Collaborate with internal departments to validate and reconcile international expense reports.

6. Month-End Close:

   • Assist in month-end close activities related to international accounts payable.
   • Provide necessary documentation and support for financial reporting.

7. Compliance and Regulations:

   • Ensure compliance with international financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
   • Stay informed about changes in international financial practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist with a focus on international and multi-entity environments.
• In-depth knowledge of international accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with Sage Intacct software is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for international vendor and internal team interactions.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving international finance-related issues.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
