Job description
Join our team at our newest club addition, the Laugh Factory Covina! Our company seeks an enthusiastic and strategic individual to serve as a Manager. This position requires strong communication, customer service, and management skills, as the successful candidate will oversee the experiences of patrons, talent, and staff. Candidates should also demonstrate a passion for our mission, making people laugh. This position reports to the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
- Oversee employee scheduling and supervise shifts.
- Collaborate and develop improvement plans, monitor progress, and delegate employee assignments.
- Performing employee reviews and assessments.
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products and oversee ordering and stock.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage and protect brand image and suggest opportunities for improvement.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role
- 5+ years of customer service experience
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Toast or OpenTable
- Experience working in comedy or the entertainment sector is preferred
- Degree in Business Administration, hospitality management, or culinary schooling is preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
