Job Description
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute the company's business data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, finance, operations, services, HR and customer success to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
- Engage with business to understand business challenges, how users are approaching these challenges, and identify BI and analytic solutions that will support the decision-making process.
- Partner with business to execute the analytics agenda and prioritize highest value use cases.
Leadership:
- Provide visionary leadership to the data strategy and governance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Guide and coach senior team members to accelerate career development.
- Establish budgets, policies and practices with significant impact on area operations.
Data Governance:
- Partner with a cross functional leadership team to evolve and maintain data governance practices and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure data standards, data quality controls, and data management processes.
- Implement best practices for data protection.
- Stay updated on data privacy laws and evolving compliance requirements and industry trends
- Collaborate with IT, Business Systems and other stakeholders to ensure data infrastructure supports business intelligence needs.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Oversee the development of advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights to executives and business units.
- Drive the creation of executive dashboards and reports that facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement self-service reporting and analytics supported by a center of excellence.
Operations:
- Optimize and automate the continuous delivery of BI solutions with effective and secure release management processes.
- Develop standards and advance knowledge management practices to enable the organization to leverage and scale deep subject matter expertise while increasing the speed and quality of data analysis and design.
- Drive the operationalizing and automating of all capabilities to ensure secure, supported and scalable solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience (12+ years) in a senior leadership role within business intelligence or data analytics
- Bachelors Degree
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms, business intelligence tools, data warehousing, and data visualization.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
- Ability to continuously deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience building and implementing enterprise level data warehouse solutions
- Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, data quality, and metadata management.
- In-depth understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
