Job Summary:

The Enterprise Controllership Organization is dedicated to providing exceptional information and services to our business partners. Our team is focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness, while enhancing the value and accessibility of our financial data. This department has the responsibility of accounting for programming costs across multiple platforms on ABC, Disney Channel, Disney+, FX, Freeform, and Hulu and financial statement management for various Film & TV production studios. This role specifically centers on contingent compensation accounting, supporting title accounting and the Disney Entertainment TV music publishing business.

The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst (SFAA) is responsible for the day to day accounting and reporting for Participation and Residuals accruals and payments for Daytime, GreenGrass, ABC Entertainment, ABC Digital, Alt Studio and Onxy, as well as network residual billing for all ABC Signature and FX Production titles. This role is also responsible for the administration of music publishing rights on music catalogs owned by various Disney Entertainment lines of businesses as well as on behalf of 3rd party catalog owners. Our Licensees remit monthly/quarterly statements detailing royalties. The SFA is responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of the applicable revenue to each song title and by revenue source in a way which facilitates financial reporting by line of business and downstream reporting including derivation of any amounts payable to third parties for the applicable piece of music.

Education:

The hiring range for this position in California is $101,790.00 to $124,410.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
