Aerotek is hiring an array of Outside Machinist Skillsets for Defense Companies in the Norfolk/Newport News shipyards. Ideal candidates will be transitioning out form OR possessing relative skills from the United States Navy.

Job Title: Outside Machinist
Industry: Navy Shipbuilding/Repair
Worksite Location: Norfolk, VA
Contract Length: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $22-$28/hr., depending on experience
Job Description/Requirements:
Overhauling Shipboard Pumps and Valves
Knowledge of Potable Water and Steam Systems
AC & Refrigeration Maintenance and Repair
Experience with Propulsion Equipment
Precision Measuring Tools
Working with Boilers, Diesel Engines
Knowledge of Shipboard Blueprints, Drawings, Schematics
Knowledge of Low- and High-Pressure Air Compressors
