Product Manager - Data Centers (Hybrid)

As the Product Manager IT, you will perform market research on new products, establish timeline for developing products, influence pricing and packaging, guide sales teams, and develop messaging and market positioning around products. Responsible for articulating outbound tasks necessary to clearly explain the benefits of product features and translate them into customer-facing messaging. Own, define, and clearly communicate the IT product road map for the North American market.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product demonstrations at trade shows and on webinars, delivering presentations to customers and prospects, as well as creating marketing collateral.
- Assist sales with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful, develop customer-facing presentations, update the website, and outline the marketing programs required for demand generation.
- Develop and update marketing strategy that meets defined product sales and profit goals.
- Research and maintain IT competitor business and product intelligence – experience working with top competitors is a plus.
- Manage defined products throughout product lifecycle for the domestic market for IT related products from product introduction to product phase out.
- Continually analyze market needs/trends as they relate to the product and competitors. Select and design market research in support of domestic market activity. Communicate to management results along with recommended actions.
- Provide detailed forecast of product sales and margins.
- Develop and maintain defined product pricing/profitability models that aid in strategic decision-making.
- Provide product marketing management support, conduct application training and development to field sales force.
- Travel with field sales force to customer and IT key accounts.
- Work in conjunction with Marketing Communications to develop promotional plan and tools.
- Work with Sales and Inventory Management to establish appropriate inventory levels.
- Liaison to IT product management in corporate headquarters.
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in Engineering, Business or Marketing
- 5+ years of experience in a product marketing leadership role.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- SAP knowledge/experience a plus.
