Our client is hiring a Benefits Specialist who will administer employee benefit programs including medical and dental, vision, life insurance, Leaves of Absence, AD&D, 403(b) Plan, Disability, COBRA, Workers Compensation, etc.
This is an on-site position that requires a full time, 5 days/week schedule at the organization's Boston headquarters.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support administration of all benefits programs including health & welfare, leaves of absence, worker's compensation, 403(b) retirement plan, etc.
- Facilitate benefits registration, enrollment and changes for all employees, provide counsel, and respond to all benefits issues/inquiries
- Support the open enrollment process including implementing new benefits programs and conducting employee information presentations
- Administer leave of absence programs including FMLA, PFML and others and provide information/advice to employees and supervisors regarding leave eligibility and required documentation
- Verify, allocate and reconcile monthly premium statements for all insurance policies and other benefits
- Serve as HR liaison to insurance carrier representatives and maintain a working relationship with various benefits vendors
- Serve as workers’ compensation administrator and liaison to insurance vendors and case managers.
- Produce HRIS reports related to benefits programs and ensure data integrity, conducting periodic reviews
Job Qualifications:
- At least 3-6 years experience with Benefits Administration including Health & Welfare, Leaves of Absence (including MA PFML), and HRIS data management
- Strong general knowledge of employment law, HR responsibilities and systems, specifically benefits administration
- Proficiency using HRIS systems (Ceridian preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in HR
