South Carolina - General Surgery
Client is recruiting another general surgeon due to an existing bariatric surgeon that covered limited bread and butter scope of work and expansion.
• Joining Medical Center Surgical Group (Employed with Physician's Network Services): They currently have 4 surgeons and are looking to add another general/robotics surgeon
•
Imagining: o 3T (Tesla) / 1.5T (Tesla) / 256 slice
o Breast Hologic imaging 3D tomosynthesis
•
OR's: 14 (Main Campus and ASC)
o Surgical robot available DaVinci Robot Xi, Globus
o CRNA and MDA staffing experienced
o Extremely low infection rate - 0% for the last 3 months
o NOT a "sole source" vender facility or administration, utilize 2-3 venders for best price and resources.
o Provider - 1 MDA - 4 CRNA
o Blue Cross Blue Shield Distinction award winning
o 2 OR teams operating simultaneously
1. Typical Schedule: • Full time position - Monday thru Friday
• 36 Patient Contact Hours - 4 Admin Hours/week
• 30 mins - New Patient Visits; 20 mins & 15 mins - Follow Up
• 1:4 Call - Consult Only Service - No Admissions (Goal is to be 1:4 ultimately.)
o Taken in 1-week blocks? ED Consult and admission handle via ED dept to TeamHealth
o Rounding the physicians typically have 1-week blocks (3 -5 consults a week) in the hospital. Consults and rounding a done by the physician on call.
2. Scope of Practice • Clinic 40+/- daily (New patients, post Op/Procedures)
• Each physician has their own designated RN for support
• Clinic 2 clinic/2.5 OR
• Any clinical trials/research going on? There will be in Oncology and Cardiology that is affiliated with the Duke partnership.
• Opportunity to teach medical students/residents/fellows? yes
• What percent of their practice is general surgery v. subspecialty? 80/20
• Base Salary (Typically MGMA Median) Plus WRVU Bonuses
o Production Bonuses are available based on WRVU - Calculated Annually
• Contract Length - 3 Year Term
o Base Salary is evergreen year over year. There is a 10% administrative reduction that can be used if productivity is consistently below their base.
o If you exceed the benchmark, can you earn a bonus during the guarantee period? Yes, all RVUs over the target benchmark pay incentive.
• Fringe:
o Signing Bonus (Paid after 30 days of employment)
