Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Bangor, Maine

What You Will Be Doing

This position will be responsible for ensuring that the Group's accounting and reporting systems. The responsibilities include:

- Providing accurate and timely financial data
- Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and development of internal control procedures
- Responsible for preparing the month-end financial statements.
- Assists in coordinating the preparation of all required documents for the external financial statement audit.
- Recommends accounting policies for the group and manages fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Leadership and development of the accounting team
- Assists with special projects and assignments involving financial decisions
- Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maintaining and developing internal control procedures.
- Provides financial management support to projects as requested by the Controller.
- Other duties as needed

What You Need for this Position

- 5+ Years of Accounting Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Master's Degree, CMA, or CPA highly preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, Auditing, Corporate Taxation, and Financial Reporting
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Excellent Communication Skills
