Job description

Be essential at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) , where employees are valued and come together to manage and protect California’s diverse fish, wildlife, and habitats, for their ecological values and public enjoyment! CDFW owns and manages public lands in areas with high threat of fire and received funding for efforts and activities dedicated to promoting healthy forests and landscapes by removing hazardous fuels. Activities to reduce risk include thinning vegetation, constructing fuel breaks, implementing controlled burns and conducting restoration work like removing invasive fire-prone plants and establishing fire-resilient native plants.
The Fish and Wildlife Seasonal Aid classification is a non-testing classification.

The duration of these positions will be 12 to 24 months.
