Job description
MEE is an independent testing laboratory that has a strong reputation working with companies to troubleshoot materials-related issues. Our customer base includes a wide variety of industries and applications, including substantial focus on medical devices, power generation, and chemical processing.
At MEE, interns perform a wide variety of tasks, including, but not limited to;
- Assisting engineers with component failure analyses
- Metallographic sample preparation
- Macro and micro photography
- Scanning electron microscopy
- Energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy
- Hardness testing
- Component disassembly and sectioning
Strong candidates will have:
- Attention to detail while following procedures and test protocols
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A strong curiosity for how things work or why they don't
- A creative thought process
- The ability to adapt to changing procedures and work loads
- An extreme intuition about all things mechanical, chemical, and electrical
Applicants to have completed 3rd year of accredited engineering curriculum in Materials Engineering.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday. Start/end date are flexible, totaling about 12 weeks over the summer of 2024.
