PAY AND BENEFITS



Hourly Pay Range: $20.474360 - $25.641506

Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

Seasonal status employees are not eligible to receive benefits, except for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits. Employees will accrue one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked with a maximum accrual of eighty (80) hours per year



JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking to hire up to 6 hardworking and motivated individuals as Seasonal Park Assistant Team Leaders to provide variety of services in order to protect, maintain, operate and repair County parks lands, natural areas, campgrounds and day use areas, as well as provide excellent customer service and be a positive presence throughout the parks. If selected as a Seasonal Park Assistant Lead, you will work in coordination with Park Rangers to communicate and guide implementation of park standards by Seasonal Park Assistants for customer service, cleanliness, and safety.

This work is on a temporary basis for the summer season with most positions ending in October.

Due to the nature of the position, punctuality and attendance are critical to the success of the team and the department. Additionally, it is critical to be committed to working through the entire duration of the season.

TYPICAL TASKS



Duties may include but are not limited to the following:



WORKING CONDITIONS



Position requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive forward and overhead reaching. Occasional duties may require ability to lift/carry 100 lbs. and push objects weighing up to 90 lbs. Duties involve exposure to inclement weather, noise, dust, chemicals, fumes and continuous work around moving machinery.



WORK SCHEDULE



This position works up to 40 hours during a work week. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Seasonal Park Assistant Team Leaders are expected to be available for work from April through October with the possibility of extending into mid-December. Seasonal employees will collaborate with their supervisors to establish their work schedule.

Please Note: This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
