About this Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join the Ball State University Media Services department’s Engineering team. This full-time opportunity comes with an attractive benefits package including health insurance which includes dental and prescription coverage, discounts on University amenities and cultural events, retirement, and much more. The salary range for this position begins at $37,960 up to $41,870.

Position Function
Perform duties of Broadcast Engineer and ensure broadcast media equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime.
Minimum Education
Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics or related area.
Minimum Experience
One through three years of related experience.
Minimum Other
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy; strong computer skills.
Authorization to work in the US

Install, maintain, and repair to the component level Ball State University and University Media Services production equipment; including broadcast quality video switchers, video replay, 3D computer graphics and animation systems, broadcast quality video tape recorders, digital media recorders, digital video effects, multi-level computerized routing switchers, character generators, broadcast video cameras, audio boards, multi-track digital audio editors and other related equipment.

Set up, check, operate, and monitor equipment for studio and remote productions. This includes equipment for distance learning programs (IHETS, etc.) as well as academic and promotional productions.

Instruct students, assistants, faculty, and staff on the operation and use of the aforementioned facilities and diverse electronic equipment.
