Job description
As a Deed Research and Retrieval Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our estate planning services team. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research to identify, retrieve, and analyze property deeds, and related documents. Your work will directly contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our estate planning processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of deeds for estate planning purposes, including reviewing legal documents related to property ownership and transfers.
- Work closely with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary deeds and title transfers.
- Research and stay up-to-date on all relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to deeds and titles.
- Provide guidance and support to clients and their families on matters related to property ownership and transfer, including trust administration and probate.
- Collaborate with other team members, including attorneys and paralegals, to ensure timely and accurate completion of all estate planning administration tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property deed research and retrieval, preferably within estate planning or real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of property law, legal terminology, and land records.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to deeds in different states.
- Proficiency in utilizing online databases, public records, and other research tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in the retirement solutions industry or legal field is preferred but not required.
