Job description
Start your new career as a Production Operator with MAU at our client in Covington, GA. As a Production Operator, you will have the primary responsibility for operating manufacturing equipment.

What We’re Looking For- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- 1 year of experience in industrial environment, preferred
- Chemical, food, and water processing industry experience, preferred
- Forklift skills
- Good math, reading, communication, and organizational skills
- Display fundamental computer literacy
- Participate and contribute through involvement with teams
- Must have no attendance issues (always on time, under 5 unscheduled absences)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to walk for the duration of the shift
What You’ll Do as a Production Operator- Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety rules, including use of all PPE and safety equipment
- Participate in the general housekeeping of plant and work area
- Understand basic monitoring of assigned equipment including start up and shutdown and lockout/tag-out procedures for equipment responsibilities
- Monitor and report any warning lights promptly
- Demonstrate forklift proficiency (pending formal training)
- Maintain expected quality standards
- Use digital scales in metric and US standard units
- Properly load mixers
- Complete required data entry into production systems, accurately, with some assistance
- Generally perform, with supervision, entry level production tasks which include operating processing equipment and packaging products
- Enter data into the computer system
- Monitor equipment, keep processes running at desired run rates
- Use and monitor computerized display and control screens
- Work under direction peers, team leaders, and shift managers
- Maintain proper documentation including batch tickets an partial bags
- Generally assist in preparation of batches and operation of processing equipment
- Perform other tasks as assigned
