Responsibilities:
The System Integration and Test Division is seeking a Microelectronics Integration and Test Engineer to support the verification and validation of complex systems. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Collaborate with front-end Systems Engineers and customers to:
- Define and capture accurate, clear, and verifiable requirements
- Assign appropriate verification methods
- Establish requirement traceability to test plans and procedures
- Identify high-risk requirements and scope risk reduction activities
- Scope requirements for downstream I&T execution including technical skills, personnel, training, facilities, test infrastructure, and security considerations
- Contribute to system concepts and architectures that promote design-for-test capabilities
- Collaborate with hardware and software design teams to:
- Anchor analytical models with empirical test data
- Ensure requirement compliance
- Establish design-for-test capabilities
- Guide detailed designs by incorporating reliability and robustness techniques that design-out failure mechanisms caused by corner cases and environmental factors
- Leverage multi-disciplinary System Integration and Test expertise to:
- Develop high-level test and test infrastructure concepts
- Define test plans and detailed test procedures (functional, performance, acceptance, qualification)
- Execute test programs (dry runs, Test Readiness Reviews, formal execution, data processing & analysis, test data reporting)
- Serve as system integrators and execute system validation activities
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Applied Physics along with 3+ years of relevant experience or BS degree with 7 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with the following: sensors, microelectronics, autonomous systems, system security engineering, mixed-signal electronics, communication protocols, embedded firmware
- Experience designing, documenting, and executing Development Tests, Acceptance Tests (ATP), Design Verification Tests (DVT), and Qualification Tests on embedded electro-mechanical systems
- Experience integrating hardware and software components of complex systems
- Experience working with commercial electronic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with cross-functional teams of engineers, management, and external stakeholders across all relevant disciplines
- Flexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and technologies
Preferred Qualifications :
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with any of the following tests: Electrical Overstress (EOS), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), Accelerated Life Test (ALT), burn-in, latch-up, workmanship, ESD susceptibility, vibration, shock, pressure, temperature, and relative humidity
- Experience interfacing with, operating, and troubleshooting environmental test equipment (rate tables, shakers, impact testers, thermal, humidity, and pressure chambers)
- Experience automating and optimizing test infrastructure and processes
- Familiarity with LabView, MATLAB, and/or Python
