UPMC Williamsport is seeking a Cardiac Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to provide patient services in our cardiology clinic. This full-time role will work dayshift hours (primarily 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but flexible to 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday. No weekends or holidays are required. Additionally, you will travel to outreach locations to support providers in clinic as needed (approximately once a week).

Purpose:
Implement and prepare for interpretation of cardiac testing that includes EKGs, Holter Monitoring Hook-ups, and Stress Testing.

Responsibilities:

• Edit EKGs, after physician review, by deleting, inserting, or making additions of established phrases in the ECG Computerized System (MUSE).
• Utilize all computer systems (MUSE, TDS, etc) for testing data, result reporting and mailing, billing, etc.
• Perform cardiac testing that includes EKGs, rhythm strips, Signal Average ECGs, Stress testing, and Holter Monitoring hook-ups, according to protocol and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and stocking daily as well as alerting appropriate personnel of needed repairs and supplies. Also, maintain the department area to meet Safety & Security regulations (JCAHO & OSHA).
