This part-time position will work to design, lead, manage, and evaluate an after and in school program for upper elementary students, focused on water science, climate change, soil health and community action. This program is in partnership with community-based organizations, school districts and county entities. Candidate will regularly deliver educational lessons, develop new lesson plans, collect enrollment data, support with training and assisting educators, maintain and deliver materials and evaluate program results. Additionally, the educator will work to develop, schedule and lead field trips focused at Elkus Ranch Environmental Education Center. The candidate will function as a community resource, provide professional development and support to educators and acts as subject matter expert for assigned program.

This position is a career appointment that is 55% variable.

Pay Scale : $26.10/hour to $35.11/hour

This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.

This is a designated position requiring a background check and may require fingerprinting due to the nature of the job responsibilities. UC ANR does hire people with conviction histories and reviews information received in the context of the job responsibilities.
