Optimized Technical Solutions (OTS) is currently seeking a qualified System Administrator. This hybrid position will require going on-site two (2) days out of the work week.

System Administrator Job Description

Provide day-to-day Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server administrator support and work the implementation/maintenance of system interfaces. This position will be responsible for the installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance hardware and software and any related infrastructure. This position participates in the technical research of Apache Camel and IBM MQ file transfers and setup as well as the continued maintenance of system interfaces, end-user troubleshooting, and AWS cloud system setup/maintenance. This position ensures that system hardware, software systems, operating systems, and related security procedures adhere to organizational requirements and vendor partners.

• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with new/existing servers, hardware, and software.
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, software, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and operational requirements is required.
• Perform daily system monitoring to include: system resource management, log review, incorporate/create/maintain interface continuity, and completion of all scheduled jobs such as backups.

Requirements

• Three (3) - five (5) years of experience as a System Administrator is required.
• Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science.
• Candidate must be a US citizen.
• Security Plus certification is required .
• Understanding of network protocols to include key exchanges and ciphers.
• Knowledge of working with XML files and tags.
• Knowledgeable of RHEL/LINUX command line syntax.
• Cloud Technologies (Jenkins, RDS, S3 Bucket, EC2, AWS).
