Description

• Strategic Planning and Evaluation:
  1. Evaluate and strategize elements of healthcare programs.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to identify problems and plan effective solutions.
• Leadership and Initiative:
  1. Exhibit strong initiative and judgment in addressing the needs of community nursing services.
  2. Showcase developed leadership abilities to enhance productivity.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  1. Learn and adhere to relevant regulations, including Oregon Revised Statutes, Oregon Administrative Rules, and department policies.
• Supervision and Evaluation:
  1. Provide both general and clinical supervision to professional and para-professional staff.
  2. Objectively evaluate staff performance.
• Medication Management:
  1. Administer and monitor medications under physician orders.
  2. Assess client reactions, chart responses, and recommend medication adjustments.
• Skilled Nursing Assessment:
  1. Conduct skilled nursing assessments and supervision for clients undergoing therapeutic drug treatment.
• Policy Development:
  1. Contribute to the development and revision of program policies and procedures.
• Operational Oversight:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day operation of clinical and field services.
• Staff Coordination:
  1. Coordinate and approve staff schedules, including leave requests.
  2. Ensure appropriate coverage for daily service delivery, meetings, and trainings.
• Supervision and Performance Management:
  1. Routinely conduct scheduled supervision sessions and performance evaluations.
• Emergency Response:
  1. Respond to mental health emergencies on rotation with clinic staff.

Minimum Qualifications


Five years of current health nursing experience and graduation from an approved school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree in nursing preferred; two years of current health supervisory experience; or, any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Oregon Registered License at time of appointment.
