Supervisor, Identity And Access Services (INFO SYS SUPV 2) Department Description
Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) within Information and Educational Technology (IET) creates, deploys, and manages business, academic, and infrastructure systems. The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team supports the campus identity stores, provisioning system, people directory, single sign-on, UC Payroll integrations, privileged access management, and multi-factor authentication. This position has a high campus impact as it supervises the IAM team supporting mission-critical systems and applications used by the entire population of student, faculty, staff, and university aliates.

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Enterprise Messaging, Collaboration, and IAM, the Supervisor-Identity And Access Services, works with a high degree of decision-making autonomy in the area of development and support for IAM services encompassing single sign on, multi-factor authentication, directory services, privileged access management, identity provisioning, identity governance, and other related services. This position serves as the supervisor of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. Key responsibilities include supervision of direct reports, development of identity architecture and design, support and development of IAM security and compliance controls, leading the Agile delivery process, and supporting product and service management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT - Hire MUST be located in-state. This position can be done primarily remote with the expectation that the employee must be available to come on site should management deem it necessary for emergencies, meetings, support activities, etc. No reimbursement of travel expenses, travel time not considered work hours.
- This position requires after business hours (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM) work on a periodic basis to support Production systems.
- Occasional travel required.
- Travel between campus and off-campus locations.
- Vacation is restricted during peak work periods.
- Adhere to workplace safety practices, read information communicated about workplace safety, complete required safety training on time, and report any workplace safety issues promptly to their supervisor or the designated safety coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education/Experience: - Experience leading and managing technical teams.
- Experience designing, deploying and supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) components such as authentication / authorization, directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, and others) and user lifecycle management / governance.
- Experience with Agile software development lifecycle, including the use of revision control systems and ticketing / bug reporting systems.
- Experience with architecture and design of complex software solutions, applications and diverse systems with business requirements and experience writing technical specifications.
- Experience developing technical specifications and project proposals with clear objectives, budgets, and timelines.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): - Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences at all organizational levels.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Education/Experience: - A degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience programming in major programming languages such as J2EE/Java, Python, C#/.NET, and JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases and the development of Structured Query Language (SQL) procedures and queries on platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience in developing standards-based inter-application communication using REST based APIs utilizing JSON or XML based payloads.
- Experience developing and supporting IAM applications and services at a higher education institution or other large organization.
- Experience migrating legacy IAM applications to new solutions.
- Experience mentoring junior programmers and/or students in a technical field.
