Job description

ENT and Allergy Associates, New York & New Jersey's premier ENT and Allergy medical practice, is seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser for our Middletown office.

We are a large and successful, multi-site ENT practice seeking to expand our hearing aid services. The ideal candidate must be strong clinically and can effectively counsel while building patient rapport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care

• Assist in fitting and programming hearing aids for optimal performance, comfort, and sound quality.
• Provide basic patient education on hearing aid use, care, and maintenance.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns.
• Assist in scheduling and conducting follow-up appointments, including basic troubleshooting, routine adjustments, and cleanings.
• Make follow-up calls to patients to ensure satisfaction with their assistive listening and hearing device.

Administrative and Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain organized patient records.
• Handle packaging and mailing earmold orders, device repairs, and manufacturer/lab returns.
• Maintain inventories of supplies
• Maintain inventories of loaner devices

Support for Audiologists:

• Communicate with audiologists concerning updates on orders, insurance verifications, or prior authorizations.
• Assist the audiologists in the completion of clinical appointments as needed.

General Duties:

• Perform infection control duties within the clinic/service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active NY Hearing Aid Dispensing License
