You will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and managing the infrastructure environment to facilitate the replacement of legacy mainframe middleware with modern solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Architecture: Design and architect the infrastructure environment to support the replacement of mainframe middleware in our banking systems. Develop scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure solutions that meet the unique requirements of the banking industry.
2. Middleware Replacement: Lead the replacement of legacy mainframe middleware with modern middleware solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing banking applications and systems. Collaborate with software developers and system architects to design middleware configurations that optimize performance and reliability.
3. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive banking data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as PCI DSS, GLBA, and FDIC guidelines. Implement encryption, access controls, and monitoring tools to safeguard infrastructure assets.
4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical banking infrastructure components, including middleware servers and databases. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of system outages or disasters.
5. Integration with Banking Systems: Facilitate the integration of middleware solutions with core banking systems, payment processing platforms, and other banking applications. Ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability between middleware components and banking systems.
6. Performance Optimization: Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and conduct performance tuning activities to optimize resource utilization and minimize latency. Implement caching mechanisms, load balancing, and other optimization techniques to enhance system performance.
7. Vendor Management: Collaborate with middleware vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and implement middleware solutions that align with our banking infrastructure requirements. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure timely delivery and support.
8. Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices. Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure effective operation and maintenance of banking infrastructure components.
