Job Posting:  Admission Call Specialist/Assessment and Referral Coordinator

Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital is searching for a caring and compassionate bachelor’s prepared admission call specialist position in our 24/7 Admissions Department. Job Summary:  The Admissions Call Specialist (Assessment and Referral Coordinator) is responsible for  coordinating aspects of the admissions process.  This includes but is not limited to efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, processing of referrals for possible admission, knowledge of and communication with referral sources and customers who present for assessment.  Additional responsibilities include insurance verification/precertification, patient registration process, vitals, wanding, patient observations, scheduling of evaluations, admissions processing, bed board monitoring and other non-clinical duties as assigned by admissions leadership team.

Rivendell is a 125 inpatient psychiatric hospital located in the heart of Bowling Green, KY on a 49 acre campus.  At Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital, children who are in crisis receive psychiatric care. Teens suffering from depression, disabling anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or suicide can learn new ways to cope. Teens and adults suffering from chemical dependency and substance abuse can get help. Senior adults in need of psychiatric treatment for early onset of dementia, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide and behavioral problems are treated in a positive, secure and compassionate environment.

Job Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field preferred AND

Experience:  A minimum of one year of experience in a human service, social service, psychiatric, or mental health setting, performing administrative duties, crisis intervention, telephonic triage and inquiries, and customer service
