Job description
To work with the Pastor and Hispanic members to meet the needs of the Hispanic Ministry Unit. Work in collaboration with the Pastor and Session to cultivate an engaging and vibrant Hispanic Ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS
English-Spanish Bilingual speaker
SPECIFIC DUTIES
A.Simultaneous translation of Sunday worship service
B.Provide Spanish translation for the pastor as needed (i.e. meetings/calls)
C.Schedule Spanish liturgists for Sunday worship service, insure translation is provided for all church functions and events.
D.Translation of documents and videos for the website, Facebook, One Call, etc.
E.To meet with the Pastor weekly, or as needed, in preparation for worship
F.Home visits/counseling/Bible studies/assistance in situations
G.Be available to assist the Pastor with hospital calls and communion as needed
H.To be an advocate for all Hispanic members.
I.To be a liaison between the Hispanic Ministry and all other Ministry Units.
J.To be present for Hispanic Ministry Meetings at times that are convenient to the majority of members, as needed.
K.To be a liaison between the Church and our Sister Church in Cartagena, Columbia.
L.To provide or arrange for regular opportunities for Bible study, prayer, and spiritual development.
M.To conduct outreach in the Hispanic Community.
N.Attend staff meetings
O.Provide monthly Session Report on activities and accomplishments
P.Actively seek opportunities to grow and expand the Churchs Hispanic Ministry.
