E&M Technologies, Inc.is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineerto join our team in Aurora, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other command.
The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in the modernization of Army programs performing Army and national security missions. The software engineer will support the transition of the program from its current on premises iteration into a cloud hosted environment. The engineer will design, develop, and deploy cloud-native geospatial/GEOINT applications and services. The software engineer will utilize GEOINT and geospatial data, APIs, and tools to build applications that integrate analytics and machine learning solutions. The software engineer will integrate GEOINT databases and services with cloud-based platforms to enable spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience with software system design, development, and integration.
Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ ce).
Experience with Python programming / scripting language.
Experience with SQL programming language.
Experience supporting data streaming services.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Ability to work with a distributed team efficiently.
Ability to maintain technical documentation.
Familiarity with cloud networking principles.
Familiarity with secure development practices.
Familiarity with ESRI Database tools and technologies.
Experience with Atlassian Suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
Experience with ICITE or DCGS-A Cloud concepts and architectures
Familiarly with data science approaches and methodologies.
Knowledge of Agile software development project methodologies
Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
