Job description

The Carpenter for CFC Properties is responsible for providing high quality, efficient and timely repair of all carpentry related work for commercial and residential properties.

• Build outs for turnovers
• Drywall repair
• Hang/repair doors & door jams
• Paint and/or stain building interiors and exteriors
• Install window glass and screens; apply wall and floor covering materials
• Install ceramic and other types of tile
• Remodel and repair cabinets, counters, shelves, tables and refinish miscellaneous furniture
• Alter and repair a variety of building structures such as walls, partitions, doorways, window frames, stairways and roofs
• Estimate time and material costs on carpentry projects
• Remove damaged or defective structure areas/ repair or replace
• Maintain accurate records and work orders
• Build specialty items

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent training and experience
• 5+ years in appropriate professional area

• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment
• Familiarity with and ability to use smart phones, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Able to climb stairs, ladders
• Ability to walk, stand for long periods of time
• Able to bend & lift, crouch & stoop, kneeling & crawling
• Overhead reach, pushing, pulling, and hand tool use
• Ability to read / interpret blueprints, schematics, & construction drawings

• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, machinery, etc.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
