Job description
The Talent Mine is recruiting for a seasoned PLC programmer with a strong background in HMI systems for an immediate FTE role in the Fort Payne, AL or Florence, SC areas. This is for one of America's largest recyclers of any product, working to automate robotic welding lines to work more efficiently and safely in a manufacturing setting. Overview:
In this role you will have the opportunity for creating engineering services related to innovative electrical designs and programming PLC code designs that are both extensible and reusable. The candidate must also demonstrate a working knowledge of high-performance graphics that allow users to gather information quickly and accurately, creating a safer more intuitive work experience. This position is a critical interface in the efficiency, output, and quality of our manufacturing processes and will be accountable for safely integrating designs with the shop floor, along with upgrades of existing equipment. This position will require travel as needed for the various manufacturing locations across the US and Canada.
**COMPENSATION NOTES***
TOTAL COMP for this position is $1600,000- $208,000 broken down as follows:
Logistical Requirements:
\- Must be a GC holder or US Citizen and be able to pass a criminal BG check and drug screen
\- Must be able / willing to work onsite (not remote) on a manufacturing setting in Florence, SC or Fort Payne, AL.
Your profile should resemble most of the following:
\- 5+ years of experience with PLC automation development in a production environment.
\- Professional experience programming in a Studio 5000 or HMI / SCADA system.
\- Mid/sr. level experience with electrical design practices, machine / motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, programming, and system integration.
\- Solid Allen-Bradley PLC/PAC, motion control, VFD and safety hardware experience.
\- Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent field experience is preferred (not required)
\- Robotics experience (ABB / Fanuc), with demonstrated knowledge of control systems design, programming, and systems integration with understanding of open loop and closed loop control systems.
