The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for invoices and vendor disbursements. Reporting the approval processes for invoices. Constructing reports with details for payment and processes. Coordinating with vendors and helping to recover all overdue payments. Filling invoices while promoting confidentiality and protecting documents regarding finances and employees. Lastly, coding and entering invoices into the system.
Essential Functions:
Evaluate and process all invoices and vendor disbursements (checks).
Create reports of payment details and verify processed accounting entries.
Monitor and resolve invoice discrepancies, as well as respond to and resolve vendor inquiries.
Reconcile vendors account balances with monthly statements and follow up as needed.
Maintain vendor invoice files Enter invoices into SEC’s accounting system Meta Viewer.
Ensure invoices and purchase orders have the necessary approvals.
Perform monthly intercompany reconciliation of invoice balances.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with new vendors and handle all inquiries from customers and employees.
Monitor all account payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist with multiple accounting functions, audits and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Special Knowledge Skills
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Attention to detail.
Superior organization skills: able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and possess strong decision-making skills.
Must be self-motivated and exhibit a team player attitude.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma is Required.
Three years previous high volume accounts payable experience is preferred.
Thorough understanding of all accounting functional areas.
