About the Role & Program
The Talent Development Intern will support work across Disney’s eight ABC Owned Television Stations across the country, as well as the Division. You will gain exposure to the local television business and our employees as you work alongside the Talent Development team to coordinate activities that promote and educate internal and external talent.
What You Will Do
You will work with the Talent Development team which is responsible for the recruitment and development of on-air and off-air talent. This includes programs, fellowships and initiatives that enhance and expand our talent pipelines.
As the ABC Owned TV Stations Talent Development Intern, you may:
Assist with all aspects of development programs including fellowships, mentorship & virtual events/conference planning/coordination
Assist team with social media outreach and talent engagement
Provide research around Talent & organize profiles and biographies
Data entry into system for tracking talent and recording feedback
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
High attention to detail and experience in multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
Major or previous coursework in Communications, Human Resources, or related major
Education
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year or recently graduated within the past 6 months preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Program length -- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through August/September 2024
Work details -- Must be fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
Housing -- Must provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Los Angeles, California area
Transportation -- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
