US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED You will be working with teams building and maintaining in continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure environments. You will be responsible for defining standards, training, and guiding team members in best practices of a DevOps culture. This position will require a personality that is enthusiastic, humble, and excited about trying new technologies to support a successful team. This position requires skills and experience in continuous delivery methodologies, deployment strategies, and a deep understanding of container-based development practices.
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You'll Do: - Definition of efficient deployment strategies and support implementation of deployment structures across multiple program teams.
- Work with the following software development lifecycle concepts: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
- Assess tools that support automating unit test, build, integration, and deployment into a production pipeline.
- Manage the design, development and implementation of automated test and deployment pipelines/continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Maintenance of compliance and security controls.
- Monitor operations and adjust automated tools and pipeline implementation to support operational strategies.
- Support and improve the development process.
- Advocate the appropriate use of technology and provide leadership in balancing technical elegance with functional requirements and practical benefits as we implement and integrate technologies.
- Improve and maintain continuous delivery methodologies and deployment strategies. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
- Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Secret security clearance is required.
- Experience in running and maintaining Kubernetes in a production environment.
- Experience in deployment and maintenance of monitoring systems.
- Deep understanding of container-based development practices.
- Knowledge of some or all of the following technologies/concepts:
- Kubernetes
- NetOps/SecOps
- Helm or Istio
- ELK stack or similar monitoring system
- AWS
- Terraform
- ArgoCD
- Azure
- Messaging queue technologies such as Kafka
- Basic knowledge of programming frameworks such as dotnet and angular.
- Excellent business judgement: know how to prioritize when to collaborate and when to seek assistance.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $91500 - $113500

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
