POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Manager will support the full scope of human resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives at one of the company's largest manufacturing sites. This role will maintain and enhance the organizations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. This position will lead a team of HR professionals and will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: engagement and retention; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance and compensation management consultation; and talent management consultation and employee development initiatives and training.

CORE FUNCTIONS

* Drive organizational effectiveness and change initiatives to ensure the organization has the right people, right structure, and right processes to drive short and long-term business success.

* Develop and implement plans and programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.

* Partner with the leadership team and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.

* Serve as an HR business partner to the Plant General Manager and cross-functional leadership team at Extang.

* Implement and communicate company-wide initiatives and changes.

* Provide counsel on matters of employee and organizational policies and procedures.

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

* Partner with leadership teams in developing, implementing, and tracking initiatives across the organization.

* Manage and resolve employee relations issues.

* Provide performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

* Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure employees have the skills and resources they need to achieve their objectives..

* Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

* Monitor critical HR KPI's and ensure action to mitigate areas of concern.

* Manage performance of the HR team and drive accountability around goals and developing out HR talent.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree is required.

* 7+ years of relevant business experience is required

* 5+ years of HR experience is required

* 2+ years of experience in team leadership role is required.

* 2+ years of HR team leadership in a manufacturing setting experience is preferred.

* Prior experience establishing positive team engagement & retention strategies is preferred.

* Prior experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.

Required Licenses

* HRCI/SHRM certification preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

* Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing HR programs.

* Broad knowledge of all HR disciplines with a demonstrated in-depth knowledge in employee relations and talent management.

* Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with managers and co-workers at all levels.

* Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to identify and assess human capital needs and work collaboratively to develop and implement value-added solutions.

* Demonstrated ability to influence and drive culture yielding positive business results.

* Strong change management skills.

Travel

* Occasional travel may be required; up to 10%.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* This position plans, staffs, evaluates, and directs work of employees of a work unit. This role will have direct reports.
