Collections Manager and Registrar

McLean, VA

The purpose of the Collections Manager and Registrar role is to provide the highest level of effective and efficient collections management and registration support to the functioning of the Mars Museum and the Mars, Incorporated historic collection and archives.

What are we looking for?

What will be your key responsibilities?

Near Term Activities: Prior to the move into the newly designed McLean facility, assist in organizing and re-housing artifacts and archival materials and preparing them for packing and transportation.

Long Term Activities: Oversee the professional organization, physical safety, and accessibility of the Mars, Incorporated historic collection and archives. Assist in the collection’s development and future growth, including the digitization of materials and collection of born-digital materials. Assist in the development and maintenance of a revitalized Mars Museum website.
