Job description

1. Plans, coordinates and implements programs for a particular school or college in one or more of the following areas: financial aid, career services, and/or admissions. 2. Recommends short- and long-term administrative and department goals. 3. Determines student eligibility in one or more of the following areas: federal loan programs, school grants, job placement opportunities, and/or admissions. 4. Provides guidance, advice and counseling in one or more of the following areas: academic, admissions, career, and financial matters for students, faculty and prospective students. 5. Initiates, designs and implements operational systems to maintain and monitors student records and/or applicant records. 6. Reviews and approves all written material for publication or press release. 7. Organizes workshops and on and off campus recruitment events in one or more of the following areas: career services, admissions, and/or financial aid. 8. Supervises day to day operation of services; determines priorities and maintain workflow. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.



Required Skill/ability 1: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Financial demonstrated ability with the ability to perform mathematical calculations.



Required Skill/ability 2: Exceptional communication skills and counseling demonstrated ability.  Ability to multitask in a busy office environment and meet deadlines.



Required Skill/ability 3: Demonstrated ability in spreadsheets and current financial aid specific databases, such as Banner.



Required Skill/ability 4: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Detail oriented.



Required Skill/ability 5: Financial aid and financial literacy.



Preferred Education: Banner and reporting experience, Microsoft Office, Workday, ELMSelect, Federal Student Aid sites including Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).  Experience with FGLI students, non-traditional students, and hybrid or online programs is a plus.



Work Week: Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and four years of experience in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
