The Alternate Agency Director is jointly responsible for the profitability, planning, and overall administration of the organization. The Alternate Agency Director is accountable for all activities and departments in the absence of the Agency Director. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS : * Associate’s Degree Required * Five years of experience in office or project operations reflective of progressive responsibility including supervision. Homecare experience preferred. * Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. * Evidence of leadership activities. * When required to travel from one assignment to another on the same day, a reliable, independent means of transportation is required. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and car insurance. * Obtains and retains a clear criminal history report and as appropriate. SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS : * Assists the Agency Director with ensuring that the numbers and qualifications of personnel available to provide services are sufficient to meet the needs of the clients. * Assists the Agency Director with ensuring that policies and procedures meet Federal, State, and local and accrediting organizations regulations and standards. * Assists the Agency Director with maintaining profitably/solvency through sound fiscal management. * Assist the Agency Director with developing strategic and short-term plans for organizational development. * Assist the Agency Director with educating the community to the Agency programs by interacting with numerous individuals and groups. * Acts as alternate for Agency Director in the day to day management and oversight of office. * Assist with the training and development of all employees. Pre-employment/referral requirements The offer is contingent upon you completing the Pre-employment/referral requirements: * Adult Abuse Registry Check * Criminal Background Check ( BCC ) * Drug Test * Delaware State Requirements that the personnel of the agency who have direct contact with the agency’s consumers have: * Testing for tuberculosis at time of hire, and that the agency follows CDC recommendations for annual/periodic testing of its personnel who have contact with the agency’s consumers. * All new personal, including direct care workers shall be required to have a physical examination prior to providing care: * The physical exam must have been completed within three (3) months prior to employment/referral: and a copy of the physical examination shall be maintained in the individual’s file. Supervisory Responsibility Customer Service, Human Resources, and Community Outreach Coordinator will report directly to the Assistant Agency Director. The Assistant Agency Director will report to the Agency Director.
