Job Role: Medical Technologist Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in New Jersey. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic information, contributing to the well-being of our patients and the advancement of medical science. This is a permanent position with this wonderful health system.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Testing: Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, including but not limited to chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, and urinalysis, following established protocols and quality control procedures.
- Sample Collection: Collect patient specimens, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage to maintain sample integrity.
- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control programs to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test results, maintain accurate records, and report findings to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA, to ensure a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in medical technology and laboratory procedures through ongoing education and training.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to provide seamless patient care.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology • ACSP or NCA certification preferred. • Prior Experience in Clinical Laboratory is required. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and laboratory automation is a plus.
