Job description

Novant Health is seeking a Regional Stroke Manager to oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Stroke Program. Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple, related projects directed toward market strategic growth, development, and sustainability of stroke programs, and for directing, evaluating, and providing feedback to professional team members who participate in the stroke program. Assumes the day-to-day responsibilities of process and quality improvement activities as they relate to program performance in addition to developing, monitoring, and acting upon clinical and operational metrics designed to continuously improve service delivery. Activities associated with this position have organizational, local, regional, and state impact as well as responsibility for maintaining Comprehensive Stroke Program certification. The stroke programs contain complex activities that may span functions and facilities. Builds credibility, establishes rapport and maintains communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Assesses, plans, designs, and implements comprehensive stroke certification programs and support other certified programs such as primary stroke and acute stroke ready facilities. In addition, assists with special projects related to stroke and neuroscience. Organizes educational opportunities and performs frequent data analysis with follow-up. Strives to spend at least 50% of their time visible, present and available to team members who work with stroke patients to provide necessary mentoring, teaching, and support. Develops and maintains collegial relationships with providers, clinical educators and other interdisciplinary team members. Provides leadership and creates a strategy to achieve the best outcomes including but not limited to quality, financial vitality, employee and patient satisfaction. • Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
  
• Experience : Three years clinical experience in stroke, emergency services, critical care, or stroke coordinator experience; required. Two years of Leadership experience in related field, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification : Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ASLS, SCRN, or CNRN; preferred.
