Our team is in need of a 2nd shift Lathe Machinist Leader; machine details from plate or flat stock according to blue prints to exact dimensions and to details of various shapes and materials. We produce hot runners, for the plastic injection industry. Hot runner consist of various materials, steel, copper, nickel, etc.
Leader:
-Most of the characteristics will be the same, as in experience in setups, operation, quality control, and editing programs. The Leader will be responsible for being in charge of 4 to 7 employees (4 Production Lathe plus I added 3 Component Lathe for the future once trained and comfortable on the Production side). This will include daily scheduling for their team. Troubleshooting (strong troubleshooting skills are definitely a plus!) throughout the shift. Doing nightly Quality inspections. Training of employees when necessary. And utilizing good communication between Shift leaders (Day and Night shift) to keep the department productive.
2nd shift 3:30pm to 12am -48 hours/week right now 10% SHIFT PREMIUM
***Working 6 hours on Saturdays when needed; 2pm-8pm for 2nd shift***
Haas 3 axis Lathes
• Reads and interprets blue prints
• Reads measuring tools
• Sharpens cutting tools
• Performs own set-ups
• Downloads programs and alters if necessary
• Machines material to print
• Use of overhead crane
