Our thrift store is an amazing place of ministry in our community!
Youth Development: A business to mentor teens in the ways of the Lord. 1) Teens enrolled in our aviation ministry earn flight time; 2) We provide first jobs for teens through a program with the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation; and, 3) We provide jobs for teens who have aged out of foster care.
Ministry Volunteers: Our thrift store provides a place for community believers to serve and work together in ministry.
Customers and Doners: We have an incredible opportunity to pray and share the Gospel with unbelievers and unchurched as they visit our store.
Profits: Profits from the store are used to fund our affordable housing projects. We are currently building 24 apartments for youth aging out of foster care. www.CapernaumPlace.com.
We are looking for a missionary minded person (or couple) to manage this wonderful ministry. The ideal candidate will:
1) Be missionary minded – to see the ministry value of this thrift store;
2) Have a business sense. A thrift store involves customer relations; inventory management and presentation; cash management; marketing; volunteer coordination; job training.
3) View this opportunity as a ministry calling and not a job.
4) Must relocate to Melbourne, Florida. Temporary housing is available.
This is a paid position. Base salary is $36,000.00, no benefits. Profit sharing can boost to $70-80,000.00.
