This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 9984 Premier Pkwy, Miramar, FL 33025.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:30am to 5:00pm EST, Monday – Friday.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
• Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
• Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services
• Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
• Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers

Part of the challenge here is dealing positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances. As a subject matter expert, you’ll also be the “go-to” resource for information. The flexibility to work evening hours will also be required

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED and / OR equivalent experience
  
• Previous experience speaking with patients over the phone
• Experience with verifying health insurance and benefits
• Experience with utilizing Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit, save, and send documents) and Microsoft Excel (ability to create, edit, save, and send spreadsheets)
• Reside within 30 miles from 9984 Premier Pkwy, Miramar, FL, 33025
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Must be 18 years OR older
• Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm EST from Monday – Friday
• Ability to work on call as required after hours, occasional overtime, and weekends on a rotating basis based on business need

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with onboarding patient in a medical setting
• ICD 10 and CPT codes knowledge
• Experience in working with health care insurance
• Experience in a hospital, physician’s office, OR medical clinic setting
• Clerical OR administrative support background OR experience with working in a call center environment
• Experience in working with Medicare and / OR Medicaid Services
