Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Shift Caregiver to join our team. The Night Shift Caregiver will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals who require care during the night hours. This position requires a high level of patience, empathy, and reliability to ensure the well-being and safety of our clients throughout the night.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight care and supervision to clients in need of assistance.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as toileting, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration accurately.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel or supervisor.
- Ensure clients are comfortable and settled for the night, including preparing them for bed and assisting with bedtime routines.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed, including tidying up client's living space and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or requests for assistance during the night shift.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients who may feel anxious or restless during the night.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing the provision of care and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the caregiving team to ensure continuity of care and a positive client experience

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in caregiving or healthcare preferred.
- Proven experience working as a caregiver, preferably in a night shift capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and personalized care to individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately, while also being a reliable team player.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and respond to unexpected situations as they arise.
- Must pass a background check and provide references from previous employers or supervisors.
- Physical stamina and dexterity required to assist clients with mobility and perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
