CLINICAL PHARMACIST (NCPMP)
Navy Comprehensive Pain Management Program (NCPMP)
SITE OF SERVICE:
- The primary sites of service shall be; NMC Portsmouth; Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Little Creek- Joint Base Little Creek- Fort Story; NBHC Naval Station Sewell’s; and NBHC Oceana.
- May be assigned to other clinic locations within the primary assigned Military Treatment Facility’s (MTF’s) local commuting area.

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree : Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- Education : Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation
Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) - Certifications : Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Internship/Residency: Completion of a clinical pharmacy residency or fellowship
accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College
of Clinical Pharmacy or documentation of appropriate education, training, and/or CME in
the practice of clinical pharmacy. - Experience: Possess ONE of the following:
- Possess a graduate certificate from an accredited pharmacy residency program;
OR
- Possess a minimum of 12 months of experience within the preceding 18 months as a Clinical Pharmacist performing direct patient care clinical activities in an ambulatory care pharmacy setting.
OR
- Have held clinical privileges as a Clinical Pharmacist within the preceding 36 months in a military treatment facility.
- Licensure : Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.
- U.S. Citizenship : Shall be a U.S. citizen
- English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract .
HOURS
- Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0700 and 1800 hours.
- Shifts will normally be scheduled for an eight and half (8.5) to nine (9) hour period, to include an uncompensated thirty (30) minute to sixty (60) minute lunch break.
- I n no instance will the Health Care Worker be required to provide services in excess of eighty (80) hours per two-week period.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
