What we need YOU to do:

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Air and Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our Northeast District Office in Summit County.

Here’s what we’re looking for.

As an Ohio EPA environmental specialist, you will serve as the lead worker for the Quality Assurance program in the Division of Air Pollution Control. You will participate in the field auditing Ohio’s ambient air monitors and performing quality assurance audits on various particulate and meteorological monitors at different monitoring networks throughout the State of Ohio. You will develop and assist in the implementation of the ambient air monitoring Quality Assurance program for the Ohio EPA, monitoring quality assurance activities and making recommendations for correction and improvement.

Additionally, you will provide training to Ohio EPA staff and assist local air agency and industry monitoring personnel on all types of air monitoring equipment. You will develop and write audit and calibration procedures, standard operating procedures, and Quality Assurance Project Plans for the air monitoring Quality Assurance Program. You will attend state and federal air monitoring meetings and training programs, as well as participate in Ohio EPA Quality Assurance program conference calls and meetings, providing guidance to state and local air agency staff.
