Kittelson is looking for a talented, Mid-level full-time IT Manager to join our national team.
As an IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in aligning our organization’s technology infrastructure and operations while coordinating externally with our IT managed services provider. This position places a strong emphasis on organization, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills, with a particular need for strong communication within and external to the organization. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to continuous learning and development, and who brings passion and innovation to the future of IT at Kittelson. Physically located in one of Kittelson’s established offices, this full-time position will require up to 20% travel to other offices.

Position Summary
In this role, you will work directly with Kittelson Chief Technology Officer with Kittleson’s Technology and Research Services team to coordinate the company’s national IT strategy, interface with an existing IT managed services provider, and communicate with Kittelson staff and leadership about current and future IT needs. We are looking for an individual who brings hands-on experience in the IT field, is collaborative and responsive, and is excited to help build and execute an IT vision for the firm. Location will be in one of Kittelson’s established offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining firmwide computing and cloud systems, protecting the firm against Cyber Security threats, and grow the firm’s IT support team/system.
- Manage IT projects and maintain documentation of all critical resources and systems across Kittelson’s 26 offices.
- Lead the implementation of upgrades to computer systems as well as repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure network components meet the needs of business as well as work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities.
- Communicate and collaborate with Kittelson staff on shaping the future of the company’s IT systems.
Other job duties may include:
- Analyze the effectiveness of the organization’s computer and cloud-based systems and develop strategies to improve IT productivity.
- Analyze department needs, identifies vulnerabilities, and boosts productivity, efficiency and accuracy to make informed business decisions.
- Develop and implement forward-thinking IT policies to ensure security, compliance, and efficiency
- Recommend and advise the leadership team on initiatives to increase the ROI of the organization’s information technology expenditures.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for potential computer system upgrades to support purchase decisions.
- Assist in providing orientation, education, and training sessions to end-users for new, existing, and modified computer systems.
- Assist in the deployment, customization, and post-implementation troubleshooting of new systems.
- Support and maintain network and computer system security by performing regular security tests and security monitoring.
- Stay up to date and current with the latest technological advances in order to ensure their organization is using the best technology available.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in IT management, with a strong focus on time management, organization, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including networks, servers, databases, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Proficient in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and related software products
- Proficient in cloud-based server and data storage systems
- Excellent communication and team management skills with the ability to effectively interact with IT stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.

Compensation and Benefits

Depending on experience, total compensation for this position ranges from $100K – $120K consisting of base pay and retirement. This position is also eligible for a year-end performance bonus.
