Position Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Position Summary:

As an Entry Level Industrial Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, and contributing to the overall success of our operations. Your primary responsibilities will include data analysis, process improvement, and project management in a manufacturing environment.

Industrial Engineer Essential Job Functions:

1. Apply statistical methods and mathematical calculations to analyze manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
2. Create and maintain Value Stream maps for new products to identify opportunities for improvement.
3. Develop Standard Work processes to streamline production.
4. Maintain plant layouts for new product launches, process changes, and workflow updates.
5. Manage the plant's long-term layout plan, including phase-in and phase-out of all products over five years.
6. Maintain capacity plans for various processes, ensuring proper capacity availability and reporting to production and management.
7. Collaborate with the procurement team to establish internal and external packaging standards, optimizing them for production line constraints and inventory management.
8. Work with the procurement team to optimize internal logistics flow for both new and existing products.
9. Conduct time studies and production line audits to confirm cycle times and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
10. Lead Kaizen projects aimed at enhancing material handling, logistics, and operator efficiency.
11. Generate comprehensive reports on projects, including continuous improvement initiatives and the status of new product releases.
12. Complete Industrial Engineering responsibilities for Product Introduction Requests (PIRs) for all new projects.
13. Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to optimize staff and facility utilization.
14. Study operational sequences, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities, with an emphasis on value analysis and value engineering concepts.

Industrial Engineer Experience and Education Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
2. Internship or 1 year of experience in a related field.
3. Certifications such as Green Belt is preferred.
4. Prior usage of CAD design software.
